The mountain gorillas are very endangered because of habitat loss, poaching, and just humans in general. they are the most endangered with only about 800-900 left in the wild. These gorillas are very strong, and males grow gray hair on their backs, which is why they are called silverbacks. Most of the 900 in the wild are protected in national parks, so their habitat can't be destroyed or so they aren't killed. If we humans don't stop destroying rainforests, or other natural ecosystems, then with no doubt, it won't just be the mountain gorillas that will be extinct.
