So... I just won $50?!

If I got $50, I would almost assuredly save it all. I would store it away in my piggy bank or bank account. The reason for this is I have no immediate wants or reasons to spend my money. That would also help me in the long run because if I had any spur of the moment want or need, I would have the money to buy it. For example, I’m going shopping with my dad and I see a Rubik’s Cube that I really want and can’t go without. If I hadn’t saved my money and had instead spent it all on candy or other things, I consequently wouldn’t be able to buy the thing that I really wanted right then. So in saving my money, I am able to meet future wants and needs without breaking a sweat.

  2. I agree about the fact that you should save pretty much all the money. I think you should save it in a bank because you could generate interest from that, you could end up with seventy five dollars by the time you need it. One thing is, would if you want a one hundred dollar thing but you have only have fifty dollars? Would you break a sweat then?

  3. I agree about saving money for other things you might want later, but I think that if you were buying a Rubik's Cube that was not $50, then you could spend a bit of money on some candy. I think that some immediate satisfaction would be nice as long as you did not use it immediately, or in the case of candy eat it all immediately. A question is what if you really wanted something online, would you get it because all you mentioned in your post was physical things.

  4. I agree about saving up your money for something later, but why don't you
put the money in an interest account, because it will build up your money
over time. In fact, there is an equation for interest amounts, and could you describe an example of an "emergency want or need"?
