You Don’t Die In The Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is actually a salt lake!! Located in Jordan Rift Valley, in Southwest Asia, this “sea” is one of the highest density seas in the world. So dense, in fact, that you never sink in it, you just float! Due to that density, no fish or animals of any kind live  in the Dead Sea. Another cool thing, the Dead sea is the lowest point on Earth!! It’s bottom lies 417 meters below the actual sea level. The water from the Dead Sea is said to be healing, and a dip into it can help with diabetes, although it’s better to NOT swallow the water, for you can choke because of the saltiness. The Dead Sea has also been there for three million years!!! So, my question for you is, would you like to float around in the Dead Sea?

  1. Yes, I would like to go floating on the Dead Sea, since I have NEVER been there. Also I want to see if I dive in I would skip or sink. The average temperature during the summer is 32-39 C, but during winter 20-23 C. Would you like to go swimming across the DEAD SEA………?

    1. Honestly, not really, because it would hurt every single cut or scrape you have on your body.

  2. I would probably want to try floating in the Dead Sea, but only for a little bit because, like you guys said its pretty cold and deep.It is also 67 kilometres (42 mi) long and 18 kilometres (11 mi) wide. I had a leader in my youth group at church a year ago who went on a mission trip and during it she went to the Dead Sea. She told us all about it and I thought it was very interesting. So how long do you think you could stand (or in this case float) being in the Dead Sea?
