food, yum, yum

Most of you have had/eat chicken right? Well, try lamb, yuck!!! Chicken and lamb are the most common main dishes for the people who are not non-vegetarians. Forks, spoons, and knives, that’s what we usually eat food with right? Most Indian food is eaten with your fingers, or bread which is used as your utensils. There are a lot of kind of breads that get served with meals, including naan, a leavened, oven-baked flatbread, and bhatoora, a fluffy flatbread common in North India, and eaten with chickpea curry. All this food talking makes me hungry! I have tried Indian food once, and I actually liked it! I don't remember what it was called though. Some of these breads sound weird, or maybe even gross to you, but trying something new is always good. Would you try any of these?

Barfi and Amusement park!!! (?????)

What is one thing (almost) EVERY kid and adult LOVES? AMUSEMENT PARKS!!! There is an amusement park in Mumbai, India called Adlabs Imagica and it's ranked #18 of 372 fun things to do in Mumbai. Most likely because it's also India's first and only International standard theme park offering fun, action, entertainment, dining and shopping at a single location. It has fantastical themes that helps bring Indian families together to make new experiences. There are many roller coasters at Adlabs Imagica including Gold Rush Express Mine Train roller coaster, Deep Space roller coaster, and Nitro roller coaster. They all have A LOT of twists and turns that make it fun for everyone (unless you don't like twists)! I also researched some food and I found an Indian dessert called "Barfi". It comes from the Persian word barf which means snow! The flavor in Barfi tastes like fruit (such as mangos or coconut) or nuts (such as cashews or pistachio) and the main ingredients include condensed milk and sugar! It actually sounds pretty good (the food, not the name of the food). Would you go on Nitro roller coaster and try Barfi???? :D

India and It's Fantabulous, Amazing, Scrum-Didly-Umpshious FOOD!!!

I picked India as my country because I already know a little about it and it seems very interesting. I love food. As my friends know, I especially love bread. Apparently many people from India do too. Except their bread is called bhatura. Bhatura is a vegetarian bread made mainly from white flour, yogurt, oil, and yeast. Why should I visit India? I’ll tell you why. The Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is known as one of the seven wonders of the world.  Shah Jahan gave this house to his third wife as a present. It is also known as the biggest tourist attraction in India. Now after reading this, which South Asian country would you visit?

Stop fasting and start eating!

Kuda Eid, also known as  Fithru Eid, marks the end of Ramadan, the religious Islamic month of fasting in Maldives. The celebration starts when the new moon is sighted. There is an announcement on t.v and a cannon goes off to inform everyone to start the celebration! Kuda Eid is a three day festival, the activities somewhat vary based on the island. On the louder islands you will see the Maldivian people dancing in parades, banging on drums, singing and shouting. On the quieter islands, there will be traditional Boduberu dancing and plenty of eating! A few things that all the islands have in common are that they give to the poor and needy and have big feasts with their family and neighbors! If you lived in Maldives, would you want to be on the quiet or loud island for Kuda Eid? I think that I would want to be on a louder island because it seems like more  fun and festivities!

#NepalFood

Nupal is a smaller country in South Asia. They have many foods in Nepal but the most cooked and eaten meal there is, dal bhat. Dal bhat is a steamed rice and a cooked lentil soup called dal. Some people add small bits of highly spicy condiments, such as pickles. This one meal is eaten 1-2 times a day by each person. To me that seems like a pretty boring meal, and must get old after a while, by eating the same thing over and over. Even though I don’t live in Nepal I wouldn't like this, but to them thats all their used to. Do you think this would be good? Why or why not?

The Maldives or not

If you ever looked at the Maldives you would pass out. It’s the most beautiful island ever. You might not know everything about it though. The Maldives are 1,190 islands attract honeymooners and beachgoers (nearly a million per year) for their beautiful beaches, five-star resorts, and beautiful dives. Yet these islands lie just five feet above sea level. The scientist predict that the islands will all get flooded at the end of this century.  Would you ever like to visit the Maldives? I know for sure I wouldn't want to visit the Maldives because that would be scary. Do you think it would be scary or not?

Bhutan Festivals

In Bhutan there are festivals that are held in each district of thunder dragon and other places. They have these festivals in honor of Guru Rinpoche cause he's the dude who introduced buddhism to Bhutan in the 8th century. I’m pretty sure they do a dance ritual but i don't know because i skipped over the part about the dance crap, it was kinda boring. I guess the Festivals are a big family and social occasion, but if you ask me i wouldn't go i kinda hate people, i guess people from Bhutan don't though. All the people from Bhutan try to visit the festival once in a lifetime, but honestly who would want to go more than once, i probably wouldn't even go the first time. They think standing around watching people dance is a blessing, but wouldn't your feet start hurting after a while. Having your feet hurt Isnt a blessing, Its more like a nightmare! Would you want to go to the festival(s)? Why or Why not?
