Malaysian Food = :)

Although all of the topics sounded interesting, the food in Penang, Malaysia intrigued me the most. (I am trying to use more descriptive words instead of VBOs/ vague boring overused words). How many of you can you say that you have devoured Malaysian food? I definitely can’t. Although I have never eaten their food, it sounds delicious. The first food that you must try is, Assam Laksa, which is an extremely famous Penang dish. It’s a spicy noodle soup with tastebud-tickling sour undertones. The next, and last dish you must try is, Hokkien Hae Mee, which is a fried noodley prawn dish. Which of these entrees would you rather try?

  1. Hey Rachel!!! I would definitely try the Hokkien Hae Mee from Penang, Malaysia. It looks delicious! Another food that I found in Penang, is Kedai Kopi Sin Hwa. It is claypot noodles and duck egg koay teow, on top of a soup called assam laksa. I would also recommend having you read Lillian’s blog post, because hers is also about food in Penang, Malaysia. I also really liked your word choices in your post. So, what do think of Lillian’s post since yours is so similar?

  2. Nice blog Rachel!! If I tried one of those foods I would try Hokkien Hae Mee. It sounds delicious!! In Penang they also have a food called Mee Goreng. It is a juicy noodle treat. The noodles are thin, yellow and fried. In the tasty treat there is garlic, onions, shallots, and meat. Usually the meat is prawns or chicken. There is also chili, egg, cabbage, and pickles to give a variety of textures. The dish is based off a Chinese chow mein. I think that you should read Tyler Bayless’ post! His is about Penang and more of their foods and attractions.
