I don’t think anyone can deny that elephants are really cute! Mahouts have a pretty cool job and spend almost all their lives taking care of elephants in India. Mahouts start their training at a young age often inheriting the family business. They grow up with their elephant creating a strong bond between the two. Of course the mahout uses some tools to train the elephant. Some people might see these as cruel, but they are used for the elephant to learn right from wrong and to help the mahout and elephant communicate. In India elephants are a man’s best friend. Can you imagine riding and caring for elephants as a (fun) lifestyle?
