Ah, food, everyone loves it, but it can be expensive. Even small portions can cost up to thirty dollars! Why not get the best bang for your buck and visit Bhutan! Some people think foreign foods can be to spicy or just flat out gross. But as soon as I tell you some of Bhutan's most famous foods, your mouth will be watering in seconds!
Ema Datshi
Ema Datshi is a classic Bhutanese food. The food composes of chilies, Datshi cheese, onions, and butter. It may sound like a weird combination of ingredients but once you add them together, you get a beautiful variation of colors, texture, and flavor. No Bhutanese dinner is complete without it!
Shakam Paa
Shakam Paa is not eaten all the time in Bhutan. Shakam Paa is just dried beef cooked with dried chilies and fresh radish. The beef is very chewy because it has been sun-dried for days, and the chilies give it a good spice to eat over rice. The radish give the dish a very nice crunch and just a little sweetness.
See? I said they sound delicious. These aren't even half of the good foods in Bhutan. If I ever go to Bhutan, I will have to eat some of these famous foods!
