Myanmar is full of mouthwatering street food, but some of its best comes from a city called Yangon. Its cuisine is extremely diverse, and includes many flavors and techniques from across Asia. Though it is quite a flight to get there, and the streets are chaotic, the food will prove more than worth your while.
Some of the best food types in Yangon are Shan noodles, samosa salad, mohinga, and rice and curry. Shan noodles are a light noodle dish served commonly with tomato and chicken paste. Samosa salad is a savory choice that is made up of chopped samosas, fried shallots, potato slices, fried chickpeas, and cabbage. It is often served with a flavorful broth.
To summarize, you should definitely check out Yangon or just Myanmar in general if you find yourself in South Asia, as you can find some spectacular dishes for ludicrously low prices and great flavor. It is a beautiful experience and I highly recommend it.
