Africa opens their first underground hotel through Manta resorts. Africa's first underground hotel is on Pemba island. Although there's only one underground room they are currently planning more. In order to get to this hotel room you have to check in on the main island then take a boat to your room. There are three levels to this room. First, there's the upper level where you will stargaze at night. The middle level where you can enjoy a meal, store your luggage, and watch the sunset. Finally, the last level your underground room that has a tight space, but a great view of underworld life.

ReplyDeleteWow! I think sleeping underwater overnight can be scary but exciting at the same time. Did you know that Pemba is part of an archipelago in Zanzibar, Tanzania? I think I would like to go there someday. I also think that 13 ft in the Indian Ocean and how they built it very carefully with no leaks is very cool. Would you like to go there someday?
ReplyDeleteI can’t even imagine falling asleep to that view! The room looks nice, and it seems like it would be comfortable. It would probably bring less tourist and/or visitors if the room didn’t look secure, however I think it looks safe and relaxing. Not only do they have a nice place for you to stay, but they also have a spa and daily activities going on. Mainly water activities such as diving, or scuba diving! Sounds like it would be a nice stay here, you’d always be occupied! And if ever not, you could relax and watch the beautiful sunset from your floating living room.
