Save the Mountain Gorillas!!!!!

Africa is home to many awesome animals! In fact the national parks of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Volcanoes National Park, and Virunga National Park in Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Rwanda are home to super-rare, critically endangered, Mountain Gorillas.  Mountain Gorillas are the largest living primates alive. In fact, the males can be up to 6 feet tall and up to 400 lbs. Females can be up to 5 feet tall and up to 215 lbs. These creatures can live for 40-50 years! Furthermore, there are less than 800 Mountain Gorillas alive. That makes me so sad because in the video I watched the Mountain Gorillas seemed friendly. Mountain Gorillas have been pushed out of their homes by deforestation and are threatened by humans moving closer to their habitats and killing them for money. Meanwhile, if Mountain Gorillas get close enough to sick humans they could catch human diseases, like the flu, pneumonia, and even ebola. The war in Democratic Republic of Congo also affects Mountain Gorillas, they often get caught in the middle of the conflicts. The only way we can stop the extinction of Mountain Gorillas if by closely monitoring the national parks, working with wildlife conservation programs, and talking to locals about giving the gorillas respect and protecting them. What would you do if you lived in an area with Mountain Gorillas ?
