POPULATION

In big cities like Tokyo, the capital of Japan, it is a very dense area filled with people rushing to work and other places such as malls and markets. On May 1, 2014 about 13.35 million people were calculated in living Tokyo. Transportation must be very hard for these people. Japanese use trains for transportation, and since there are many people, some people’s jobs is to shove people inside the trains. If I was ever in that situation I would feel so troublesome in being crushed or mashed into someone or a door. After the ride  when the door opens I could finally breath again without the pain of inhaling a person's STANKY odors.

  1. Aisha, I really liked how you described how you would feel if you were in this situation. It would be really annoying knowing that you would have no personal space on the train. I think you should really read Jackie’s post because she touches bases on some of the same things you did. Did you know that the average of 6.33 million people take the train each day? Crazy right? I bet it smells awful because of all the different scent of everyone. Would you like to know how it felt to ride the train in Tokyo?

  2. Great job Aisha! Like you, I would also want my own personal space, especially on a train. I don't think I would want to live in Tokyo, because of traffic and crowded areas. I think that you should read Jake's post. It is about transportation in Tokyo, like yours, but it has different aspects of the transportation included in his writing I think you'll like it! Did you know that, Shinjuku is the busiest and the most fun station in the world. The station handles in the range of 1 to 2 million people every day, going in and out of it's ticket gates. It is an amazing place to visit, especially when trying to catch the last train!
