What would my life be if I lived in Tokyo? Being shoved into a train. There are are 13.35 million people and thats not Japan thats one city which is Tokyo. Life would extremely tight. It’s so tight it’s like getting packed into a can. I would leave my home get to the train station and get pushed into a train. Thats how tight it is. The only thing that I’ll be able to see is bodies in my face. I would be really frustrated and I’d probably want to rip my hair out. Then you get off. You feel so revealed to get off, go to the place you want to, go back to the train station, and do that cycle all over again. If you were pushed into a train how would you feel?
If I were pushed into a train I would be so mad! I would say to the workers “stop pushing me!” Then I would have to squeeze myself into a small spot. I wouldn’t be able to handle this awful commute for a week, let alone a month or more! Did you know that the workers at the train station are actually hired to push people, well push them into the trains? That would be an interesting job! You should read Sardines versus Humans. What's the difference? This blog post talks about what I just told you, the people being paid to push people into trains. It talks about the history of the “sardine packers” in America. Would you like to be paid to push people into trains?
ReplyDeleteIf I were pushed onto a train I would feel like pushing back and then getting in on my own. But of course, I wouldn't push back. Did you know the average size of a house in Japan is about one thousand square feet? That is like half the size of my house! Imagine living in a space that small! The funny thing is that early in the school year I lived in an apartment half of the time because my house was being built. Surprisingly it was only 800 square feet. But getting back on topic you should check out Pratham’s post for more about the trains. Do you think you could survive one hour on one of those stuffed trains?
