I won't confess! O.K, maybe I have

One of our broken rules was that you had to stay together when you were with another person. We were duplicitous (sneaky) so we wouldn't be caught. We would still stay abutting (close to) each other so they wouldn't see anything abnormal (out of the ordinary) Thankfully we didn't end up in an accident like this one. I don’t understand why we can’t separate on the tubing hill because it  makes it a lot more fun and adds speed. The rule just makes no sense!
