COLOURS!!!!!!!!!!

The   Festival    Of    Holi

The Festival of holi is an Indian tradition that is celebrated primarily in the northern part of India. It is the festival of water and colour. People will smear each other with colourful powder. I think it reminds me of the Colour Run. It is celebrated in the early March. It is the festival of bright colours, joyous celebration and to have fun with all your friends. Some people dress in costumes while preparing for the holiday. All the markets are busy with people buying food to have their friends over and to have a party after the celebrating. I would love to take part in this because I think it would be amazing to be in! Would you like to be in this wonderful party?

  1. Sarah, I absolutely LOVE Holi! I love all the colors being tossed around. It’s like walking through a rainbow :-) ! Holi is similar to the Color Run in the sense that there is a lot of colors. The main difference though, is that the Color Run you run and Holi you have fun hanging out with our friends and eat a lot of good food. You should take a look at Caeland’s post where he mentioned so many good Indian foods that you can also eat during Holi. All of the great food adds to the happiness!

  2. It says that the festival has children throwing water balloons at each other and colored powder painted all over each other. It also have various legends. If you want to know more about the Holi festival I would recommend looking at Marie’s post because it is about the same thing. In India the festival is an old tradition and is very important even though it might seem like a mess. Would you go to this festival if you could?
