Pakistan’s Many Festivals

Pakistan has A LOT of festivals. When I say a lot, I mean about 28!!! I’ll give you some examples: Shab-e-Barat.  In this festival, people celebrate the eighth Islamic month with sweet dishes, fireworks, and visits to family. Another example is the Sibi Festival, in which people celebrate the last week of February with sports, crafts, and sweet foods. Isn’t it weird that all the festivals are about certain weeks and months? Well, here is another festival: Bassant. In this festival, people are celebrating spring! There’s a special tradition, in which people fly kites, because it symbolizes the friendship that Muslims and Hindus had, where they would fly kites together. Apparently, kite-flying is a sport! I don’t think it is, but tradition is tradition! Would you like to visit Pakistan to see one of the MANY festivals???
