India's Weird Food!

In India, they have some extravagant foods like frog legs in sikkim and goa, which is frog legs which have been battered and fried, and dipped in a unique herb sauce. In India, it is called a jumping chicken. Bizarre, right?

Another riveting looking food they serve in India is red ants chutney. Basically, it's red ants stabbed to death with a needle. Then they are fried and served on top of mango chutney. That's not all.red-ant-chutney_article.jpg
They also bring out the big boys, like marinated buffalo kidney drizzled with mustard sauce.
Would you dare try these horrific foods?!

  1. I think you did a really nice job on going into detail on about the frog legs. I also agree that those foods do sound horrible I would NEVER want to taste those foods GROSS! I also found out that India loves spicy foods, thats what they’re basically known for. I think you should read Anna N’s post post because she had some interesting foods in her blog too. I think India is a little strange on the way they do things compared to America. Do you think they are a little strange?

  2. I completely agree, eating read ants seems completely disgusting! Although insects are an excellent source of protein, and I think that in some countries pregnant women are fed insects to sustain protein levels, I wouldn't want to eat those bugs! But bugs can save your life in a survival issue. If you remember this rhyme: Red, Orange, Yellow, forget this fellow. Black, green, or brown, wolf it down! And if you want to know more about frog legs, I suggest you read my blog.
