Spicy, spicy, spicy

The country that I researched was Bhutan. The thing that I found most interesting from reading articles about that country, is that they have Bhutanese peppers there. Apparently, bhutanese people love spicy things. One of the famous entrees served in Bhutan, is Emadatse. This specific dish is made with chili, and cooked in cheese. They also have many other great dishes served in Bhutan, for people who don’t like spicy things in Bhutan, which isn't so common. They have options of different food, a lot alike America. Some of the options include Chinese, Bhutanese, Tibetan and Indian cuisine. Those are some things that I looked up about Bhutan. Would you be someone who would eat spicy foods all day, or not?

  2. That was a very interesting post Jacqueline Reilly, I enjoyed it a lot. What I didn’t understand though is what makes Bhutan Peppers Bhutan Peppers. Are they grown in Bhutan or do these peppers have a special Bhutanian taste to them? Also you said that Bhutanese like spicy foods, many studies have been proved that if you’ve had a food since birth you will like it when you grow up. Another study says that you don’t know you dislike a certain food unless you try it at least seventeen times. I think that you should read Anna Nelson’s blog post because it also has to do with the topic of foods, specifically spicy ones.

  3. Hi Jackie, I think your post is very well written. I think Bhutan sounds like a very interesting place, and I love spicy things as well. Is the Bhutanese pepper the hottest pepper in the world? I personally believe that South Asia has some of the most interesting food in the world. I would most likely not eat spicy foods every day, I like spicy foods every once in a while though. What is the hottest pepper in the world?

    1. Hi Punk! I looked that up and found out that there was a tie between the hottest peppers in the world. The two were the Ghost Chili pepper and the Red Habanero pepper.
