I'm Glad he ate her... For Lunch ;-)

Gladiators were violent men with no souls nor hearts. Taken place in ancient Greece, the gladiators were usually forced to fight to the death! Can you only imagine how alarming it would be to be one of two gladiators in the battle to the death(if you just wanted to know, simply scared as poop)? Well the good news is, if you would be able to survive through the frightful and disturbing fight, and become a well known popular gladiator(a lot of “ifs”), then you and your family were reworded with wealth. The gladiators were stuffed with many healthy foods before entering the Colosseum. They also had different categories based on their armor/weapons, their skills, animals including(horseback), fighting in pairs or in chariots, and being named after their origin. If won the battle, the gladiator was often provided with laurels, money, and volunteering donations from the crowd or their freedom if a slave. Another thing about the crowd was using their thumbs and  a handkerchief or shouting the word “dismissed” seemed to show the current winner to show no mercy. Would you love to  be in a crowed watching gladiators fighting in Ancient Greece? Roman Emperor using a glad-hand in an amphitheater

  1. Wow, that would be so terrifying to be fighting against gladiators! I would never ever fight against one of those heartless warriors! I would kinda get if someone would want to because of the reward they would receive. Also that is so interesting about the crowd during a fight. It must be super intense being in one of those arenas. I’m glad that the place we live in today, is much different than back then! Aren't you?

  2. It would be awful to be a Gladiator. I think that It would be such traumatic experience. I'm not sure anything would help me to feel better other than some serious therapy. I like what you said about how awful that experience would be because I also think It would. Good job, Mimi
