The Land of Olives

You may see most Greeks (mostly the people of Athens) in cartoon wear olives as a head accessory,but even with the odd choice of head wear they use olives for almost everything oil,clothing,lighting cooking .Almost everything had to involve olives from a large to small involvement even beauty products used olives.Besides cooking and oil most of these material choices have been replaced with more durable or more logical substitutes.Olive clothing was switch out with cotton and other fabrics.Lighting was switched with the light bulb and electricity.Cooking olives and olive oil and the only olive themed items that lasted through the years.You can go to the store right now and buy olives and some olive oil .Think about this if olive themed items were still relevant would you buy them over their modern counterpart?
