The Amazing Parthenon!!
The Parthenon was built in 480 BCE. It was built for Athena, but when the Persians destroyed the Parthenon. The original was built around 447-432 BCE and was dedicated to Athena Pallas or Parthenos. Its foundation was made out of Pentelic marble and the temple’s main reason it was built was so it could protect the monumental statue of Athena that was made from gold and ivory and was made by a guy named Pheidias. Wouldn't you want a statue dedicated to you?

Hey Yunseong, I do wish I had a statue dedicated to me. It would be really cool if so many people worshiped me and decided to make a statue dedicated to me. My statue would probably be dedicated toward my talented music skills because I’m already really good at my music and when I grow up I want to be a musician. If I grow up to be a musician, I will play beautiful music for everybody so they have to build a statue of me. Why do you think someone would build a statue of me?
