There's No Power on Christmas Day-Can Chinese Food Make It Better?

I have been unsatisfied with many businesses in my short career of life, but I was very frustrated when the power was off on Christmas day and there was nothing open except for the Chinese restaurants, with their workers working up a storm.

Our whole family, Grandma and all, went to get Chinese food at Gourmet Village. We waited, and waited, and waited for almost 2 hours in Gourmet’s Village’s lobby. Finally, we gave up and went to Lucky House and waited for a long while there. The whole clan left except for my mom, who waited it out some more. In a couple hours, our Chinese Christmas dinner was ready and yummy. Gourmet village may need to make some touch-ups, but Lucky House made my Christmas very memorable. Was your power out last Christmas?

  1. That’s a great story Sal, I’m very amused. Why was chinese food the only restaurant open this christmas? Why did your mom wait in line alone? What did you do when she was waiting? So many questions. I thought your article was nice and funny. You did a good job. What did you do all Christmas break with the power out?

  2. The Chinese don't normally celebrate Christmas, and we were all tired from the long day, so she stayed, and we went to my Grandma's house. We really couldn't do anything with the power out. Just games and we also went to the MAC.
